Reviews
A small yet impactful museum full of wonderfully curated art.
Had the pleasure of visiting during the "Dia de Los Muertos" / "Day of the Dead" Exhibition.
Went on a Sunday, and admission was free, but I left a donation, and it was appreciated.
Would highly recommend a partonship to this museum if a local or visiting Austin - it's small so it won't take all day.
Walking down Congress and stumbled across this gem! Great exhibit around this time of year highlighting the Dia le los Muertos traditions. Cute gift shop. Prices a little high for things like a reusable bag so chose smaller sticker items to still show support.
This was a great find off 5th Street in Austin, TX. The museum is free on Sundays.
The gift shop was a bit pricey but had a ton of cute merchandise. I did purchase a t-shirt and stickers.
One of Austin's best art museums. They do a great job of involving local artists, especially in their murals and Dia De Los Muertos altars.
They also have a great gift shop and are open free on Sundays.
It's worth visiting this place regularly as their exhibits turn over.
Beautiful artwork! Very quant loved the variety of merchandise! It’s free on Sundays that’s a plus! Staff was pleasant!
There is normally an admission fee, but we were able to get in free admission because of a concert they had. I would recommend signing up for their email newsletters to keep you in the loop about events there. The people upfront were super helpful and friendly. The space is filled with art from all over artisans in Mexico. Everything is on display and I would definitely recommend this for all tourist and locals to check out. The gift shop is a great place to go and grab a birthday card or a birthday gift, if you are a part of the Mexican culture, you will love this place. They had a Huapango concert, I mean, that is very unique!
Great museum, follow their social media pages to checkout special events, which are more intimate and allow you to meet the staff, artists, and network. The annual Dia de los Muertos parade they host Downtown is amazing!
Excellent small museum with a nice collection. Loved the Posada prints and altars. Nice gift shop, too.
